Baden-Württemberg and Jiangsu Celebrate 30 Years of Partnership
On September 25, the German state of Baden-Württemberg and Jiangsu Province held a commemorative event at the Shangri-La Hotel in Nanjing, marking the 30th anniversary of their official relationship. This momentous occasion served not only as a reflection on three decades of close cooperation but also as a pivotal milestone for the further strengthening of ties and the deepening of future collaboration.
High-ranking representatives from both regions participated in the event. Dr. Nicole Hoffmeister-Kraut, Minister of Economic Affairs, Labor, and Tourism of Baden-Württemberg, conveyed her congratulations via video message and emphasized the importance of the long-standing partnership.
Xia Xinmin, Vice Governor of Jiangsu Province, and Zhao Kun, Deputy Director General of the Department of Foreign Investment of China’s National Development and Reform Commission, also delivered keynote speeches, highlighting the close cooperation between the regions.
A delegation from Baden-Württemberg, led by Ms. Köpf-Schuler, Head of the Department for SME Policy at the Ministry of Economic Affairs, Labor, and Tourism, was present on-site. The delegation took the opportunity to maintain existing economic relations and explore potential new market and development opportunities for companies from Baden-Württemberg.

In addition, German companies with investments in Jiangsu, such as Häring Precision (Taicang) and Zimmer Group (Changzhou), shared their experiences and assessments of the business environment in the province.
